Arcadia, California is a small city with an estimated population of around 58,000 residents. This primarily residential community is located in Los Angeles County. It is bordered by the San Gabriel Mountains to the east and the Sierra Pelona Mountains to the west. The city is also home to the Los Angeles County Arboretum & Botanical Garden.

As of 2010, the Arcadia Unified School District has received high marks for academic performance, equity, and safety. The district consists of six elementary schools, two middle schools, and one high school. Among the schools, Baldwin Stocker High School has been recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School.
