Dental Hygiene
An integral part of maintaining your teeth for life is the removal of plaque and
tarter on a regular basis. The frequency of your dental hygiene visits is based
on your individual needs and current periodontal (gums) health. During your
dental re-care visit we will routinely update your medical history, perform an oral cancer screening exam, check your teeth for dental decay and fractures, review oral hygiene instruction, monitor your periodontal (gum) condition and address other concerns you might have. We also highly recommend a mechanica tooth brush such as a Rotadent, Sonic or Oral-B for optimal home care.
"Thank you so much for following up with me ... for making my quality of (chewing) life SO much better! The onlay is doing very well, and it makes such a huge difference in being more confident that I can bite on at least one side of my mouth. There is no pain and I am so much more comfortable--now I just have to wait to get the other side taken care of! Thank you also for fitting me into your busy schedule, getting the whole thing done in one morning, and spending so much time working on me. I really appreciate it--you don't know how long my cracked molars have hurt me--it is a huge relief to have one restored! Thanks so much again."

Digital Dental X-Rays
We use all digital X-Rays. What does this
mean to you as a patient?
  • You receive only one-tenth of the radiation you normally get from traditional film X-Rays
  • Instead of waiting up to ten minutes for X-Ray films to be processed, digital X-Ray images can be viewed in a matter of seconds
  • You and the doctor view enlarged X-Rays on a 26-inch monitor, giving you, the patient, a clear picture of your teeth and the doctor enhanced diagnostic ability
  • Digital X-Rays are very environmentally friendly with no chemical waste

Current dental X-Rays are absolutely necessary to allow us to fully diagnose possible decay, gum disease and overall
dental health. The American Dental Association
recommends a full series of X-Rays every three
to five years and periodic bite-wing X-Rays every
six to 12 months. For your protection you are fully
covered with a lead apron.
